Our nucs come with about 3 pounds of bees already established in a 5 frame colony with a Carniolan Queen (a hardy, gentle breed). This small colony consists of brood in all stages of development, with pollen and honey giving it everything it needs to grow. Most importantly, our nucs are raised in the Great Northwest. Our NUCs will be a Pro NUC reusable plastic NUC boxes. Pick up typically starts mid April through May depending on your order date or of course the weather and growth of the bees in the Spring.
