Mite-A-Thol Menthol remains one of the safest and most convenient options for treating tracheal mites. To use, place one packet per hive directly on the top bars in the upper corner of the brood box, and leave it in place for at least 28 days to achieve optimal results.
It is recommended to treat for tracheal mites during both the spring and fall seasons. Be sure to remove menthol 30 days prior to the start of honey flow.

Bulk Mite-A-Thol comes as free-flowing pellets of 99% pure menthol and must be packaged before applying to hives. Each pound is sufficient to treat up to 8 hives, and mesh bags for application are available separately. Complete directions for use are included with the product.
For best storage, keep menthol in a cool place, ideally in the freezer inside a sealed container.
