Mite-A-Thol Menthol remains one of the safest and most convenient options for treating tracheal mites. To use, place one packet per hive directly on the top bars in the upper corner of the brood box, and leave it in place for at least 28 days to achieve optimal results.
It is recommended to treat for tracheal mites during both the spring and fall seasons. Be sure to remove menthol 30 days prior to the start of honey flow.
For best storage, keep menthol in a cool place, ideally in the freezer inside a sealed container.
